Books and scrolls/scroll blue magic.pngGetting Started

Everything you need to go from sign-up to your first adventure.

4 key topics

1Create Your Account

Sign up with Google or email and password. You'll land on the Dashboard, your home base for everything.

2The Dashboard

Your dashboard shows all your saved projects and the main creation paths: Write Your Own (free, no limits), The Forge (ArcForge writes it for you), Character Manager, and more.

3Choose a Game System

ArcForge supports D&D 5e, Pathfinder 2e, and a Custom system where you define your own rules. Select your system when creating an adventure and all content will follow those rules.

4Install the App

ArcForge is a Progressive Web App. On mobile, tap "Add to Home Screen" in your browser menu. On desktop, look for the install icon in your address bar.

Books and scrolls/rune magic book.pngThe Forge (Adventure Wizard)

Create complete, ready-to-run adventures with The Forge or templates.

4 key topics

1Single Adventure (Free)

Create a complete one-shot in minutes. Fill in party details, choose a setting and tone, and ArcForge builds full scenes, NPCs, loot tables, and read-aloud text.

2Campaign Arc (Champion & up)

Create multi-session campaigns with 2-20 connected sessions. Choose an arc type (mystery, war, heist, etc.) and get narrative continuity, recurring villains, cliffhangers, and level progression.

3Classic Templates (Free)

Pick from 6 pre-built adventure archetypes: The Dungeon Crawl, The Mystery in Town, The Wilderness Trek, The Heist, The Siege, or The Festival Gone Wrong. No wait time - instant 5-scene adventures ready to run.

4Customization

Set party level, number of players, player names and backstories, session length, tone, themes, and constraints. The more detail you give, the more tailored your adventure.

Use the session reader and GM toolkit to run games at your table.

2GM Toolkit

The sidebar has 25+ tools: Combat Manager, Dice Roller, NPC Tracker, Loot Manager, Spell Reference, Battle Map VTT, Random Encounters, Name Generator, Shop Manager, and more.

User Interface/crossed swords.pngSolo Play

Play a solo RPG adventure with interactive storytelling and full mechanics.

4 key topics

1How It Works

Create a character (name, class, race) and jump into an interactive adventure. You make choices, roll skill checks, fight enemies, and progress through a living story.

2Character Progression

Earn XP, level up, gain gold, find loot, and equip items. Your character sheet tracks HP, ability scores, inventory, and experience.

3Combat & Skill Checks

Combat uses initiative-based turns with real enemies, loot drops, and death saves. Skill checks show DCs, advantage/disadvantage, and stakes before you roll.

4Continue as Campaign

When your solo adventure ends, convert it into a full campaign. Your character, story, inventory, and progress carry over into a multi-session Campaign Arc.

User Interface/shining gold star.pngCharacters & Party

3 key topics

1Character Manager

2Character Library

When creating an adventure, pick from your saved characters in the party setup step. Their backstory and details get woven into the adventure.

3PDF Import

Import existing character sheets from PDF, images, DOCX, or JSON, and import whole campaigns from Word documents. ArcForge reformats them so your existing material is ready to run.
